Museums, Archives & University Collections

Why Use Our Services

We have a decade of experience with digitisation of large museum and archive collections of photographs and documents including rare and fragile items.

We have particular expertise in scanning high volumes of 35mm slides and lantern slides and can digitise a wide range of materials including glass plates and transparencies.

We have undergone museum training in object handling, packing and storage so your collections will always be in safe hands.

The Process

We output images in a variety of formats such as JPEGs, TIFFs, PDFs and can create master images as well as thumbnails for your database. To suit individual requirements, the digital scans can be returned to you on hard drives, USB memory sticks, via cloud storage or Wetransfer.

We will organise your digital archive into the same structure as your hard copies, whether that is by folder names, photographer, dates etc. For an extra fee we can enter the metadata on each image to store additional, searchable, data such as date taken, location, photographer name, folder names, copyright etc.
